Short, about 60 words

Omar Faruqe Riyad is a software engineer in Dhaka who builds large government systems, researches AI agents for software reliability, and makes things people share. Long, about 130 words

Omar Faruqe Riyad grew up in Chattogram and studied Computer Science and Engineering at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology. Riyad works as a software engineer in Dhaka, building large government systems, and does research on AI agents for software reliability with a group at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. The daily ride to work in Dhaka, with auto-rickshaws on the wrong side and horns that never stop, became Baper Rasta (বাপের রাস্তা): a free browser game in which you drive a battery auto through a 3D Dhaka and every crash adds to the “National Loss”. Built alone in about two weeks with JavaScript and Three.js, it reached over 600,000 players in its first two weeks and drew national press. Riyad plans more small games about everyday Bangladesh.
